Free Crochet Butterfly Pattern Review

Butterflies are a lucky and distinguished member of the insect world. They are lucky because butterflies are loved by many. They are distinguished because of the way they look. The main reason for both of those is, of course, their dazzlingly beautiful wings. The fact that they emerge in the spring, that they metamorphose from a caterpillar to have gorgeaus wings and can fly, and that their short lifespan also have very romantic meanings for people. I like their unpredictable, sloppy flights the most. Their crazy movements fill me with joy. I feel like they are having a lot of fun. I hope so.

Here is a fact about them. Butterflies cannot fly when they are cold. They need to sunbathe to warm their wings. That is exactly how I feel right now. I’m too exhausted today to write extensively about butterflies. I feel like everything that can be written about butterflies should have been written by someone else before anyway. I also feel like none of the things written are enough to describe the feelings a butterfly evokes in us when we see it. That is why I am moving directly to the pattern where you can create these beautiful wings for your amigurumi toys.
I came across Kerri’s Crochet Butterfly Pattern while looking for wings for a toy I was crocheting. I really liked its size and the way it was crocheted. It is very easy to make it in the color I want. Various color combinations immediately came to my mind. I made 4 wings instead of 2. I obtained the wings I wanted by combining 2. In this way, I had the opportunity to make the front and back of the wings in different colors. In addition, the wings stood up straighter and I could shape them as I wanted. I think these wings add a very different vibe to the toy. A great free pattern to use in your amigurumi projects. You can obtain wings of different sizes with yarns and crochets of different thicknesses.
I did not need the body of the butterfly for this toy. I worked the wing into these chains by pulling 13 chains. I obtained 14 cm wings with the yarn and crochet I used.

I will want to add these wings to many toys in time. It is a very suitable pattern for crocheting with different color combinations. I hope you will also crochet these wings or the butterfly and be pleased. It is very exciting for me to find patterns that will support my creativity and add them to other projects, not just amigurumi toys, like this butterfly wing.
